Wat is flag football?

Flag football een de non-contact variant van American Football. In plaats van iemand die de bal heeft te tackelen moet je een vlag aftrekken die om een riem hangt.

Wat zijn de regels van flag football?

De regels van de broncobowl zijn gebaseerd op de IFAF flag football regels. Een korte versie van de regels staan hier.

Wat voor kleren moet ik aan?

Je kunt gewone sportkleren aan. Schoenen met noppen worden aangeraden in verband met grip op het grasveld. Voor de veiligheid moeten broekzakken worden afgeplakt met duct-tape. Een sportbroek zonder zakken is nog handiger. Teamleden van het zelfde team dienen allemaal de zelfde kleur shirts te hebben. Het handigste is om twee kleuren shirts mee te nemen.
Een bitje is verplicht. Deze zijn op het evenement te koop voor €2,50 per stuk.

Kan ik terplekke omkleden/douchen?

Er zijn kleedkamers en douches aanwezig.
Het zijn geen prive-douches, mocht je om welke reden dan ook graag alleen willen douchen kunnen we hier vast een oplossing voor verzinnen.

Is er een minimumleeftijd? 

Er is in principe geen minimumleeftijd om mee te doen aan de broncobowl. Bedenk wel dat je waarschijnlijk tegen teams speelt van verschillende leeftijden.

Moet ik eten of drinken meenemen?

We verkopen snacks en drinken tijdens het tournooi, dus zorg dat je wat cash bij je hebt. Het is niet echter wel handig om als lunch je eigen broodje mee te nemen. Achteraf is er natuurlijk de BBQ. Als je zelf drinken meeneemt, neem dan liever geen glas (flesjes) mee.

Veiligheid

Deelname aan het evenement is geheel op eigen risico! Wees ervan bewust dat een ongeluk in een klein hoekje zit. Ondanks alle voorzorgsmaatregelen kan er een ongeluk gebeuren. Je bent zelf verantwoordelijk voor je eigen veiligheid en die van je medespelers.
Er zijn EHBOers aanwezig tijdens het evenement.

What is flag football?

Flag football is the non-contact version of American Football. You remove a flag from another persons belt instead of tackeling the player.

What are the rules for flag football?

The rules we will play by are the IFAF flag football rules. A short version of the rules can be found here.

What kind of clothes do I need to wear?

Normal sporting clothes are sufficient. Shoes with cleats are recommended for better grip on the turf. For safety reasons the pockets of your pants need to be sealed with duct-tape. It’s even better to wear pants without pockets. Team members of the same team need to wear shirts of the same color. Best is to bring two kinds of colored shirts.
A mouthpiece is mandatory. These will be for sale on the even for €2,50 (cash only).

Are there dressing rooms/showers?

There are dressing rooms and showers.
These are shared with the other teams. If you need a private room for some reason, please send us an e-mail.

Is there a minimum age to participate?

There is no minimum age to participate with the broncobowl. Keep in mind that you will probably play against teams from different ages.

Do I have to bring food or drinks?

We sell snacks and drinks during the tournament, so make sure you bring some cash. It is a good idea to bring your own lunch! It’s not forbidden to bring your own snacks or drinks. After the tournament we will have our BBQ. If you bring your own drinks, please don’t bring glass containers.

Safety

Participation of this event is at your own risk! Be aware that accidents can happen. Even with all safety measures. You are responsible for your own and others safety.
We have first aid personnel at the field during the event.
