Na gezamenlijke trainingen met de Einhoven Raptors en de Amersfoort Untouchables was het vandaag de beurt aan de Münster Mammuts uit Duitsland. In de voorbereiding op vorig seizoen werd er ook met de Mammuts getraind en dit werd door beide teams als zeer positief ervaren, ondanks dat het veld door de sneeuw bijna onbespeelbaar was.
Om kwart over 9 vanochtend vertrokken de Broncos naar Münster. Na wat oponthoud (er was een verkeerd adres bekend) werd op de mooie faciliteiten van de Mammuts begonnen aan de training. Na een korte warming-up volgde een sessie positie-oefeningen. Na een uitgebreide training gericht op balans en explosiviteit werd er gefocust op wedstrijdsituaties. Beide teams lieten zien aardig wat dingen in huis te hebben, maar er is ook nog genoeg om aan te werken in de voorbereiding die nog voor ons ligt.
Voor de Broncos bestaat deze voorbereiding nog uit ontmoetingen met de teams van de Hilversum Hurricanes en de Solingen Paladins. In de tussentijd gaan de Broncos de komende 3 weken binnen trainen bij Trifora. Alvorens het seizoen op 6 maart losbarst met een thuiswedstrijd om 14:00 tegen de Amersfoort Untouchables.

Preparation Enschede Broncos steadily progresses

After combined practices with the Eindhoven Raptors and The Amersfoort Untouchables this time the Broncos met with the Munster Mammuts from Germany. Last year the Broncos also practiced with the Mammuts. This was a positive experience for both teams despite the field being almost unplayable due to heavy snowfall
At 9:15 AM this morning the Broncos departed to Munster. After a minor problem (the known address wasn’t correct) the training started at the very nice facilities of the Munster Mammuts.
It started off with a short warming up, followed by position specific drills. After an extensive training, directed on balance and explosiveness, the focus switched to match scenarios.
Both sides displayed some good skills, but there remains enough room for improvement in the remainder of the preparation scheme still ahead.
For the Broncos this preparation consists of combined practices with the Hilversum Hurricanes and the Solingen Paladins. But in the meantime the Broncos will practice for the comming 3 weeks at Trifora. After which the season will commence with the kick-off on the 6th of March starting with a home game at 2 PM against the Amersfoort Untouchables.
